OAHU / PILOT EXPERIENCE

THE 3-MINUTE
REALITY CHECK.

You know the clock.
Meet the challenge.

Three coached rounds bring movement, balance and accuracy into the same workout. It’s a fitness experience—not a fight, a medical test or proof of self-defense readiness.

Poppin’ Pads Matrix

Moving mitt work that asks your feet, balance and focus to show up with your hands.

FOOTWORK · ACCURACY · REACTION
0260 SEC

Ground Control

Controlled striking and positional movement with a body-shaped training dummy. No opponent required.

COORDINATION · STABILITY · CONTROL

Kick Finisher

Thirty seconds per side. Kicking, resetting and finding your balance all the way to the finish.

BALANCE · TECHNIQUE · CONSISTENCY
The clock is a format, not a command.

Learn the movements first. Your coach can adjust pace, movements and rest. Pause or stop whenever you need to. Allow extra time for briefing, warm-up, transitions and recovery.

PADS & TRAINING DUMMIES

NO OPPONENT.
PLENTY TO
FOCUS ON.

“Body Bags” means training equipment.

Our Poppin’ Pads & Body Bags artwork names the mitt-and-dummy side of the experience. Ground Control uses a human-shaped MMA training dummy; it does not involve striking another participant.

We’re interested in precision, coordination and controlled effort. There’s no prize for reckless force.

THE POP SCORE / IN DEVELOPMENT

CONTROL
COUNTS.

The goal is useful, understandable feedback on movement—not a score that rewards going harder at any cost. Accuracy, footwork, stability and technique consistency are being explored.

The scoring method is not scientifically validated. There is no live leaderboard yet, and this website does not generate a score.

HEART-RATE FEEDBACK

See your response.
Don’t chase a number.

Heart-rate measurement is an optional feature being explored for the pilot. It is separate from POP Score. Individual responses and device readings vary.

We do not promise a fat-burning zone, calorie total, weight loss or a medical fitness result. Participant measurements are not posted without permission.

BEFORE YOU TRY IT

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS.

Do I need boxing or MMA experience?

No fighting experience is required to inquire. Tell Joseph your experience level so you can discuss instruction, modifications and whether the available format is appropriate for you.

Is there sparring or contact with another participant?

No. The concept uses mitts, targets and a training dummy—not a live opponent.

Does everyone have to finish without a break?

No. Control and participant choice come first. Coaching, pauses and modifications are part of the experience. Three minutes refers to the nominal active-round format, not the full appointment.

Where and when can I try it?

Pilot locations and times are confirmed directly with Joseph. This page is not a schedule of confirmed public events. Use the inquiry page to discuss what is available on Oahu.

Is this a self-defense qualification or health assessment?

No. The challenge does not establish that someone can win a fight or diagnose fitness or health. It is a coach-led fitness experience. Discuss concerns about strenuous exercise with a qualified healthcare professional before participation.
